This is a familiar site.  There are never enough outlets in a house.  Using adapters and multiplugs is a very dangerous habit.  The wiring in your house is not designed to handle the load that these items place on it. 

A better possibility would be to use a power strip with a built in breaker if several items need to be plugged in and running at once, like behind your TV.  Other wise any item not being used should be unplugged and only plugged in when needed.

This fire was started by a damaged electrical cord run under a couch.
