'Tis The Season and no I'm not talking about Christmas season.  It is the season to once again turn on your furnace or fire up your wood burner.

As the nights get colder and longer lets discuss some safety precautions.  The above photo shows something that all too often causes house fires.  There should be at least three feet between your furnace/wood burner and any flammable material.

Also you should have your furnace/wood burner inspected once a year, and your chimney as well.

It is also a good Idea to have a Smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide detector in the same room as your heating equipment.
